The two activities within this lesson are specifically designed to facilitate both teacher control and student interaction.
Within the "Where are they?" section, users have the ability to customize which elements will be visible on a world map showing volcanic activity and tectonic plate boundaries. Additional features allow users to highlight the "Ring of Fire," as well as to view information on selected active volcanoes around the globe.
The "How are volcanoes created" section provides an engaging animated visualization of the three types of volcanoes. Once again, users have the option of deciding which information will be displayed.
